अश्विना यज्वरीरिषो दरवत्पाणी शुभस पती |

aśvinā yajvarīriṣo dravatpāṇī śubhas patī |
purubhujācanasyatam ||
1 YE Avins, rich in treasure, Lords of splendour, having nimble hands,
Accept the sacrificial food.
Rig Veda 1.3.2
अश्विना पुरुदंससा नरा शवीरया धिया |
Rig Veda 1.3.2
धिष्ण्या वनतं गिरः ||
aśvinā purudaṃsasā narā śavīrayā dhiyā |
dhiṣṇyā vanataṃ ghiraḥ ||
2 Ye Avins, rich in wondrous deeds, ye heroes worthy of our praise,
Accept our songs with mighty thought.
Rig Veda 1.3.3
दस्रा युवाकवः सुता नासत्या वर्क्तबर्हिषः |

आ यातंरुद्रवर्तनी ||
dasrā yuvākavaḥ sutā nāsatyā vṛktabarhiṣaḥ |
ā yātaṃrudravartanī ||
3 Nsatyas, wonder-workers, yours are these libations with clipt grass:
Come ye whose paths are red with flame.
Rig Veda 1.3.4
इन्द्रा याहि चित्रभानो सुता इमे तवायवः |

अण्वीभिस्तना पूतासः ||
indrā yāhi citrabhāno sutā ime tvāyavaḥ |
aṇvībhistanā pūtāsaḥ ||
4 O Indra marvellously bright, come, these libations long for thee,
Thus by fine fingers purified.

इन्द्रा याहि धियेषितो विप्रजूतः सुतावतः |

उप बरह्माणि वाघतः ||
indrā yāhi dhiyeṣito viprajūtaḥ sutāvataḥ |
upa brahmāṇi vāghataḥ ||
5 Urged by the holy singer, sped by song, come, Indra, to the prayers,
Of the libation-pouring priest.
Rig Veda 1.3.6
इन्द्रा याहि तूतुजान उप बरह्माणि हरिवः |

सुते दधिष्वनश्चनः ||
indrā yāhi tūtujāna upa brahmāṇi harivaḥ |
sute dadhiṣvanaścanaḥ ||
6 Approach, O Indra, hasting thee, Lord of Bay Horses, to the prayers.
In our libation take delight.
Rig Veda 1.3.7
ओमासश्चर्षणीध्र्तो विश्वे देवास आ गत |

दाश्वांसो दाशुषः सुतम ||
omāsaścarṣaṇīdhṛto viśve devāsa ā ghata |
dāśvāṃso dāśuṣaḥ sutam ||
7 Ye Vivedevas, who protect, reward, and cherish men, approach
Your worshipper's drink-offering.
Rig Veda 1.3.8
विश्वे देवासो अप्तुरः सुतमा गन्त तूर्णयः |

उस्रा इवस्वसराणि ||
viśve devāso apturaḥ sutamā ghanta tūrṇayaḥ |
usrā ivasvasarāṇi ||
8 Ye Vivedevas, swift at work, come hither quickly to the draught,
As milch-kine hasten to their stalls.
Rig Veda 1.3.9
विश्वे देवासो अस्रिध एहिमायासो अद्रुहः |

मेधं जुषन्त वह्नयः ||
viśve devāso asridha ehimāyāso adruhaḥ |
medhaṃ juṣanta vahnayaḥ ||
9 The Vivedevas, changing shape like serpents, fearless, void of guile,
Bearers, accept the sacred draught
Rig Veda 1.3.10
पावका नः सरस्वती वाजेभिर्वाजिनीवती |
Rig Veda 1.3.10
यज्ञं वष्टु धियावसुः ||
pāvakā naḥ sarasvatī vājebhir-vājinīvatī |
yajñaṃ vaṣṭu dhiyāvasuḥ ||
10 O Saraswati, You are the purifier (of our Intellect), and Your Strength (of Wisdom) grows within us with Sacrificial Offerings (inner and outer),
May my offering in Yagnya strengthen Your Wisdom within me (i.e. May Your presence within me make me rich in Wisdom).
Rig Veda 1.3.11
चोदयित्री सून्र्तानां चेतन्ती सुमतीनाम |
Rig Veda 1.3.11
यज्ञं दधे सरस्वती ||
codayitrī sūnṛtānāṃ cetantī sumatīnām |
yajñaṃ dadhe sarasvatī ||
11 (Saraswati Who) Inspires us towards Truth and awakens our Goodness (Sumati),
(That Saraswati) has (now) held this Yagnya (i.e. Has accepted my offerings).
Rig Veda 1.3.12
महो अर्णः सरस्वती पर चेतयति केतुना |
Rig Veda 1.3.12
धियो विश्वा वि राजति ||
maho arṇaḥ sarasvatī pra cetayati ketunā |
dhiyo viśvā vi rājati ||
12 Saraswati, that Great Wave (of Universal Wisdom) (Who has flowed as a River) and Who is the awakener of our Intellect,
... is (now) shining as the embodiment of Universal Wisdom (in this Yagnya).
